While having a post-fashion week discussion with friend who runs the PR for an up-and-coming designer, she asked me if the designer, who’d made her second showing at Bryant Park for spring 2007, should consider holding her fall ’08 runway show in an off-site location.
Why do we love Jay McCarroll? Because he’s raw, talented, and tells you like it is. This past New York Fashion Week Jay debuted in the tents his long awaited collection since winning the first season of Bravo’s Project Runway. Almost living in the Bryant park tents for
If you come from a city like Montreal, fashion capital of the world and cold as hell, Flavie Lechat, a 19-year-old up and coming designer, is a hero. Lechat began sewing clothes at the age of eight, "my mom used to sew and she taught me." By middle school, she was

Guests had the opportunity to experience a spectacle of fashion, music and dance, bringing together past showstoppers and new discoveries. Entertainers included Broadway diva Jennifer Holliday (“Dreamgirls”), Grammy Award winner Jody Watley (“Looking for a New Love”), funk-pop quintet The Philosopher Kings, dance performers Momix and The National Ballet of Canada, aerial artists Hangtime Circus, and soul singer Divine Brown. To honor the cause, 45 red dresses […]
