May 2008 Issue
Papierdoll’s 3rd Anniversary issue comes at an interesting time in fashion. With emerging designers dominating headlines and the masses looking for what’s next on the horizon, this month we look at several newcomers with interesting stories. First up is an interview with Christopher Brosius, and his line of perfume ironically called: I Hate Perfume. Brosius delves into why he created the line and the direction of nearly thirty scents that comprise the collection.
We then take a trip to Los Angeles and take a look at Brazillian-based Dekaibrands. The group held a showcase with their various designers in the city of angels and we bring back photos of pieces from their swimwear and resort collections. The Spring/Summer season means bringing the sandals out and we seek to do just that with an essentials section that looks sandals from emerging and a handful of established designers. We’re also on the ground in Australia on our international blog, iPapier covering the who, wheres and hows of their fashion week. It is all here in Papierdoll’s 3 year anniversary, May 2008 online issue. Don’t forget to stop by daily for our news updates, our multiple blog updates and our giveaway that can get you a complete beauty kit worth nearly $300.

April 2008 Issue
There’s so much to look forward to in this season of renewal. In fashion there’s a sense of starting all over again whenever the seasons switch over. Designers start releasing collections that were shown last September to the masses at store racks and boutiques. The lines are finally seeing the light of day with the warmer weather. There’s intrigue in finding out whether new trends like Marc Jacobs’ experiment of wearing underwear as everyday outerwear (even if it is a glimpse) takes hold and becomes the “it” thing or a passing fad. With that, this month we take a peruse through 30 looks from designers that showed at New York Fashion Week. We interview jewelry designer Bridget Lynne on the direction of her new Spring jewelry line. We also look at elegant Spring trends in a photo story shot by photographer Kristiina Wilson. It is all here in Papierdoll’s April 2008 online issue. Don’t forget to stop by daily for our news updates, our multiple blog updates and our giveaway that can get you a $500 shopping spree at top indie fashion retailer Smashing Darling.

February 2008 Issue
February 2008 means the start of the Fall fashion week season. It’s a time of running back and forth at the Bryant Park tents, late night calls to London and wondering if we’re going to get into see Marc Jacobs, let alone get an interview. This month we look at Christine Rhee, a designer who we feel is coming into her own with her third collection. She’s worked with design icon Mary Ping and now is striking it out on her own. Photographer Chris Grace shot her collection in a foto series entitled, "The Becoming".
We’re also going behind the scenes of fashion week to see what it really takes to put on a fashion show, as well as interview emerging designers you care about. It all happens in this fashion week month at Papierdoll.
February 2008: Becoming
Fashion is always evolving. This month we look at a designer who is literally coming into her own. Her Fall 2008 collection is part of what she is becoming a full fledged designer.

December 2007 Issue
Sometimes all an aspiring designer needs is a chance. The designer doesn’t need a handout, a shortcut, or special treatment. All they need is a canvas (or a body form) to make their dream come to life. Designer Simone Williams took her chance and made it into something positive. 3 years in and her line is beginning to flourish.
This month in Papierdoll we look at Simone Williams’ rise through the designer ranks in London as well as feature a foto story on her line. We also look at the essentials for the holiday season in our White Christmas essentials section. We then look at Kym Canter’s Star Von Bunny A Model Tale book which has us rolling in the aisles. Don’t forget to come back every day for the daily updates. See you next month!
