Here’s why Naeem Khan’s Fall 2015 collection is a welcome change of pace from what’s been shown 5 days during fashion week in New York: he kept the beauty straightforward. There was no sleight of hand. There was nothing over the top. It is a beautiful collection of pieces that contained some shared heritage (you can see a continuous influence), but it also contains more of an evolution for the designer. there were several embroidered dresses and gowns in keeping with what’s happening in gown making this day, but there was also a bit of a diversion. A floral dress with actual petal adornments placed throughout, a sparkling 20s flapper dress with a shimmering top and feathers three quarters of the way down, a double slit white dress with sheer fabric at the chest, a strapless abstract geometric print gown in white and black, two plunging v-neck gowns that screams Oscars one in half white and black and one in all black with silver trim and so much more that stated Khan is versatile as well as attentive to the female form.
