Amy Smilovic’s Fall 2015 is a cavalcade of soft colors and a bit of a welcome reprieve from the 70s chic multi-colored heft being shown during this season’s collection. Few designers have veered from that trend and Smilovic’s Tibi is thankfully one of them. For fall 2015 we see sumptuous knits with the gauchos she’s seemed committed to from previous seaons. There’s the cape sleeves set which she used to great effect, crop trousers in a deep blue, a handful of dresses that had natural slits that lined up a leg (not so severe as in other collections) and her combination of flats and stacked heels were again a welcome departure. It’s not as if Smilovic has said she’s a contrarian by nature in any interview we’ve seen, but this collection gives hints. You’ll be wearing this come Fall because it is different.
