This dark, brooding Fall 2015 collection belies the designer’s true disposition. Indeed when the show was over, he ran down the catwalk in what could only be described as a sheer state of euphoria. But you couldn’t tell that when looking at the seriousness of the collection. Indeed you get the sense that presented on any other series of models we’d be alluding to the feminine shapes and curve appreciating look in particular of the dresses. But these models were deep, thoughtful and downright trance-inducing. This in turn gives the collection the same effect. How do you know that? When the designer veered off the dark colors with sheer material and lighter tones, it seemed almost as a jolt and out of place. You wanted the black darker colors to return. The square silhouettes and homage to goth never seemed repetitive and Wang was able to pull off a unique collection individually all done in black.
