There’s a decidedly modern Russian/Eastern European bent to Rebecca Minkoff’s Fall 2015 offering. However unintentional it is welcome and apparent when looking at the eggshell colored fringe dress, the same buttoned down mini dress, the leather skirt with deep green accents, the red and black print blazer and skirt combination, the deep blue tunic dress. It’s an eclectic collection that has no peer so far this season. This decidedly eastern-looking collection banks heavily not so much on the female form, but the aesthetics of feminine beauty. It’s an assertive collection take as a whole. One out of place piece was the near white blazer paired with sleek black leather pants. I wasn’t entirely sure, what that was about as it seemed not in keeping with what otherwise was solid design direction, but that should in no way detract from Rebecca Minkoff’s beautiful Fall 2015.
