Imagine a state dinner, mixed with the Oscars red carpet and a night wearing a fun fur dress in NYC and you have the Tadashi Shoji Fall 2015 collection. Such a versatile mix is rare when looking at a collection of gowns and dresses. But Shoji manages to pull it off with nary a hitch because of the diversity of dress. Yes there exists a slight recurring theme in pattern, but taken individually, each gown, dress, speaks for itself. We’re talking richly embroidered patterns of crosses, leaf prints on a daringly sheer black dress, a maze embroidered sheer print gown filled with abstract shapes, a rich black sleeveless dress with patterns across the chest and mid-section. I could go on and on. Someone will be wearing something from this collection at a state dinner. For the rest of us, that beautiful black fur and white top sheer dress will have to do.
