The show opened with a white rose gazaar dress that was reminiscent of the sixties, a decade that was part of the inspiration for the collection. The collection drew from the luxury resorts of the Mediterranean during that time, “a moment where fashion was headed towards a new spirit of lightness and playfulness” Modern pieces like tunics, playsuits, capris, relaxed jackets and vests were added to the inspired classic silhouettes.
Evening gowns were also part of the collection, done in floral chiffons, mesh gazaar and cloques, hand embroided and delicately embellished. Also a nice break from all the dresses was the presence of coats and jackets, fur coats of varying lengths were paired with the dresses. The furs looked delicate and not bulky, making them perfect for spring’s changing weather.
Overall, the soft muted tones of each garment and it’s design, created a collection that was strongly inspired without being cliché and proved that today’s woman can still be elegant.
