NEW YORK, — New York headed into Fashion Week while on-camera hosts Alexa Ray Joel and Julie Benlevi-Zeff geared up for another season of filming for the style and social network, JULIB.com. You’ll find Joel, the sultry chanteuse and daughter of Christie Brinkley and Billy Joel, occasionally crooning for her digital audience, as she and Style Expert Benlevi-Zeff interview a mix of celebs and personalities including Kris Jenner , Kristin Chenoweth, Miss. J. Alexander, Kelly Osborne , Heidi Klum , Kelly Bensimon , Cyndi Lauper , Russell Simmons , Kelly Cutrone and others about their favorite “JIBs” (recommendations on people, places and products).
“People are JIBing everywhere,” says Benlevi-Zeff. “We’ve got personal recommendations from Kardashian mom, Kris Jenner about her favorite makeup, Kristin Chenoweth ‘s favorite designers, Heidi Klum and Herve Leger ‘s favorite hotels, Twilight star Toni Trucks ‘ favorite bars, Russell Simmons ‘ favorite restaurants and more.” Alexa has been JIBing up a storm and her Facebook followers have actually been debating with her over what the best New York Italian restaurant really is following a recent JIB. Benlevi-Zeff has JIB’d over 100 of her own personal favorites.
Joel and Benlevi-Zeff first began filming for JULIB.com during New York Fashion Week last September, which created such a frenzy, that it caused site outages. “We became so viral and had to keep up with the traffic on a daily basis,” said Publisher and CEO Benlevi-Zeff, “and we’ve been so slammed again, but are fully prepared.” Segments, which appear on both the site and on YouTube, include interviews with designers at Project Runway, Herve Leger, BCBG, Custo Barcelona and the like. Joel and Benlevi-Zeff also chat it up with celeb guests on the runway.
“Everyone’s an expert,” says Benlevi-Zeff, “and everyone has their opinion about their favorite restaurants, hotels, designers, salons, beauty products and more. Consider JULIB.com your personal rolodex of favorites that you can share.” Joel and Benlevi-Zeff have been such a hit at Fashion Week that they’ve been approached about expanding to television. They’re also considering heading to Paris in the fall.
JULIB.com currently publishes 15 editions including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, Paris, London, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., The Hamptons, Boston, Orange County and Travel. Users can JIB worldwide.
