Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Clint Eastwood’s daughter Francesca Eastwood has been receiving death threats after burning a pricey Birkin bag for a photoshoot.
The controversial photos, starring Francesca, the red Crocodile Birkin bag and her boyfriend Tyler Shields, was taken by Shields. It features Eastwood biting the bag, Shields tearing the bag apart by a chainsaw, and then setting it on fire.
Eastwood tweeted a photo of her blowing into the red Birkin on fire with the caption, “Sometimes you destroy what you love…”
Apparently, it has angered numerous people all over, fashionistas or otherwise, attacking Francesca with derogatory words and terms. People have been sending various comments on the photos. Some of the comments are:
– “why death threats? i know she may seem spoiled and stupid, but it’s her bag and her money. there are people spending $80 million on a painting. why don’t you make death threats at them?” by ASDF (TMZ.com)
– “First photo is genius. It symbolizes the effect materialism and consumerism have on many women in society. Last photo is very beautiful and represents the strong woman’s triumph over this monetarily inflated handbag. It’s only as worth as much as people are willing to pay for it. I believe it was a very brave photo shoot that will be misunderstood by many but should serve as an inspiration in art.” by Johnny Dakota (Facebook)
– “@Francesca_E Why do wanna be celebs have to act like complete fools and talk like airhead valley girls to get noticed?” by Tamara Damante (Twitter)
Birkin handbags are among the most expensive in the world, prized by famous celebrities, and included in wishlists of many people from various walks of life. This photoshoot may either be an expression of something or, according to Christianpost.com, “It also appears that the stunt may have be crafted for publicity for Eastwood’s reality TV show and she instructs users to watch her show to see more.”
According to TMZ, sources close to Eastwood say that the 19-year-old “Mrs. Eastwood & Company” star expected people to be shocked but never expected the depth of their reactions.
