London, England, United Kingdom (4E) – Christopher Bailey, creative director of the Burberry brands, has announced the three designers he has chosen as finalists for the 2012 Fashion Fringe Award.
Womenswear creators Haizhen Wang, Teija Eilola and Vita Gottlieb are the handpicked trio in the hunt for the coveted prize.
The lucky three, Chinese designer Wang, Finnish creator Eiola and Gottlieb, a London native, will have the opportunity to work on their capsule collections before unveiling them at this September’s London Fashion Week where the winner will be selected.
The winner will receive a two-year development package that includes financial support, business advice, mentoring and a fully equipped London studio in which to work.
Past winners of the London-based emerging talent platform include Basso & Brooke, Erdem and Fyodor Golan.
The Fashion Fringe Awards were created to encourage emerging fashion designers.
