Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) – There is no denying that Brad Pitt is “pretty,” so perhaps it should come as no surprise that the iconic perfume Chanel No.5 has tapped the A-list Hollywood actor as the face of its popular fragrance.
It is the first time in the history of the fabled perfume that a man, well, not just any man–we are talking about Brad Pitt here–has been cast to represent the scent in an ad campaign.
Coco Chanel herself once proclaimed the perfume “a woman’s perfume with the scent of a women,” so the new selection of Brad Pitt does deviate from its past cover models.
With the face of Brad Pitt pedaling the ultimate perfume, however, scores of women are bound to flock to the fragrance.
The world of perfume has exploded since Chanel No. 5 was launched in 1921, with some 1,000 new fragrances debuting every year. Name brand recognition is no longer enough to keep a perfume popular with all the new star-backed aromas hitting stores.
As for the imagery of the ad campaign, Chanel may have to revise its trademark catchphrase to: “What does the modern women wear to bed? Brad Pitt.”
