Geneva, Switzerland (AHN) – Nothing says “I love you” like diamonds. So, if you really want to impress the love of your life, Swiss luxury jeweler Shawish has just the thing.
Dubbed “the world’s first diamond ring,” the eye-popping accessory weighs in at a whopping 150 carats.
The ring–all of it–is carved out of pure diamond.
Shawish, based in Geneva, prides itself on its strict attention to detail. It boasts of an in-house team of highly skilled craftsmen who create pieces carried out to Shawish’s exacting standards.
The high-end jeweler secured the copyright to the stone for the all-diamond ring a year ago. It took a year, and Shawish had to undergo multiple tests with the design to get the precision of the circle right, using special laser equipment to cut directly into the diamond.
Shawish says on its online site that the most important aspect in creating any piece of work made from the precious stone is to “preserve the integrity of the diamond.”
Now that this one-of-a-kind gem is complete and for sale, Shawish is looking for the perfect hand to wear the regal and dazzling work of art.
