Paris, France (AHN) – Iconic fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld will wear a new hat when he acts as guest editor for the May issue of France’s Architectural Digest.
The issue will feature an intimate view of Lagerfeld’s apartment on the Quai Voltaire in Paris. His futuristic living room graces the cover.
The magazine will also highlight the late designer Elsie de Wolfe, as well as another on lap pools.
Lagerfeld has performed editing stints in the past at Metro and French Elle. In his editor’s letter, the renowned designers says he approaches decorating his home the same way he dresses himself and his loyal Chanel customers.
He writes in his editor’s column how his approach to decorating his home reflects his approach to life: “We are at the heart of a Russian doll: first the clothes, then the apartments and houses. Even the streets and the cities are part of the evolution of our preferences and our taste.”
The May issue of French Architectural Digest hits Parisian newsstands on Friday.
