New York, NY, United States (Celebrity News Service) – Come fall, you’ll be able to afford Versace and you won’t need a windfall to do so. Donatella Versace is the latest designer to collaborate with popular retailer H&M for a collection debuting later this year.
“I am thrilled to be collaborating with H&M and to have the opportunity of reaching its wide audience,” Donatella Versace said. “The collection will be quintessential Versace, perfect for H&M and Versace fans everywhere.”
Versace for H&M is set to include the fashion house’s signature party dresses, filled with studded detailing and bold prints. Versace will also feature designs for men and, in a first, some home decor pieces, including pillows and a bedspread.
The collection is set to go on sale on November 17th in about 300 H&M stores and, like previous collaboration collections such as last year’s Lanvin for H&M, is sure to sell out in no time. Another collection for pre-spring will debut on January 19th, 2012.
“Versace is one of the most important brands of recent times and their collection for H&M will be glamorous and flamboyant – everything Versace stands for,” said Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor at H&M. “Donatella Versace is sharing with us iconic designs from the archives. This is such a celebratory collaboration and is perfect for the party season.”
Versace is the latest high-profile collaboration for the Swedish-born brand. H&M has also featured fashions by Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Jimmy Choo, and Comme des Garcons .
