Milan, Italy (AHN Entertainment) – Academy Award nominee Hailee Steinfeld has been tapped to be the new face of the Italian luxury brand Miu Miu. The 14-year-old “True Grit” breakout star, who earned an Oscar Best Supporting Actress nod for her role, is going to be the face of the fashion label for its upcoming print advertising.
Miu Miu’s parent company, Prada, told E! News that the young star has already sat for a photo shoot, saying, “I can confirm Hailee Steinfeld has been shot to appear in the new Miu Miu fall-winter 2011 campaign.”
Hailee follows in the footsteps of other celebrities who have modeled for the brand, including Kirsten Dunst, Katie Holmes, Lindsay Lohan, Evan Rachel Wood, and Vanessa Paradis.
Even her stylist approves of the collaboration.
Karla Welch has been quoted by marieclaire.co.uk as saying, “Miu Miu is such a perfect fit for her. Throughout award season, they were the dresses she wanted to wear.”
Hailee will be seen next as Juliet in the upcoming adaptation of the Shakespeare classic “Romeo and Juliet” by director Carlo Carlie.
