San Francisco, CA, United States (CNS) – The Dockers brand is challenging men to “wear the pants” in a new contest. The khaki company launches “Wear the Pants Project” contest, which encourages patrons to take action for a chance to win $100,000.
The project wants men to take action on a project, whether it’s their life’s passion, just a small task, a professional project, or even a personal dream.
Those who are interested to join must submit a plan for actualizing their dream on the Dockers Facebook page until March 15. The Wear the Pants Project tab on the page will serve as the entry point for their application.
The company will showcase featured entries so community members can vote to determine the Top 50 plans from contestants. A panel of judges will then review the Top 50 and select 5 finalists for the community to vote on again from April 25 to May 1.
The winner will be announced on May 2. He will be awarded the $100,000 prize and a year’s worth of Dockers khakis so he can “Wear the Pants” while he pursues his interests.
A pair of Dockers khakis will each be given to the first 500 contestants who submitted their entries. Every contestant will also receive a sharable 30 percent coupon for Dockers khakis.
Dockers will also be giving $75,000 throughout the year to help men get the resources they need for their project.
Community members at the Win a Man Grant tab on their Facebook can submit a plan every week from February 1 to November 24. Dockers will select 43 winners throughout the year. They will receive tools, products, services or cash up to $2,000, depending on the resources they need. Each winner will also receive a free pair of Dockers with his prize.
Senior VP of Global Marketing, Jennifer Sey, said, “Dockers wants to help men do what they want to do, and inspire them to come up with a plan to get it done. We’ll provide them with a little extra encouragement and, for 44 lucky winners, the resources they need to get there.”
