London, England, United Kingdom (AHN) – Fashion’s Night Out happened all over the country and overseas to celebrate Fashion Week everywhere. Now, Vogue.com is celebrating the online side of fashion and retail with another event, Fashion’s Night In.
The first ever Fashion’s Night In will be on Monday, November 1 from 5 pm until midnight, and it’s dedicated to online shopping. Several upscale etailers, including ASOS.com, Net-a-porter.com, My-wardrobe.com and Matchesfashion.com, are participating with fashion and beauty offers and contests.
“We are thrilled to be working with Vogue.comfor Fashion’s Night In,” My-wardrobe.com’s Sarah Curran told Vogue.com, the host of the event. “Following the success of the global Fashion’s Night Out, Fashion’s Night In is going to be a unique event in the fashion calendar celebrating the phenomenal growth and success of fashion retail.”
Vogue.com will blog and tweet about the event’s highlights live all night, telling Fashion’s Night In guests which sites are doing what – some sites will offer styling ideas, some will feature live salon shows, some will unveil new designer collections and have first buyer access to them, and some will have competitions where buyers can win fabulous prizes.
And FNI isn’t just for fashionable people, it’s also for charitable – proceeds from FNI will go towards KidsCo, a non-profit that helps underprivileged children.
“We’re delighted to be in a position at Vogue.com to undertake this enterprise and to bring the world of online fashion into the hands of dedicated shoppers for this unique and exciting occasion,” says Vogue.com editor Dolly Jones. “It’s a first for the online community and we’re incredibly proud to be its host.”
