Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) – At the 4th Annual Point Honors gala red carpet in Los Angeles, actress Sara Rue chose to wear Rani Zakhem’s glamorous emerald green and black satin animal print drape front dress from the Fall 2010 Collection.
Rue, known for her roles in series such as “Popular” and “Less Than Perfect” and most recently a Jenny Craig spokesperson, showed off her new, slim figure in Zakhem’s dress belted at the waist. The dress’ flattering cowl neckline and hemline just below the knee made Rue look long and lean on the red carpet.
The Point Honors Gala was a part of the Point Foundation, which is a GLBT organization that provides financial support, mentoring, leadership training and hope to meritorious students who are marginalized due to sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
Point Foundation seeks the partnership of philanthropic individuals, corporations and foundations to supply financial support, scholarships, mentorship, leadership training and hope for students of merit who have been marginalized due to sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
Zakhem is a Lebanese-born fashion designer who was raised in Kenya and graduated with both a baccalaureate in economics and a BS in Interior Design. He ultimately chose design over economics, and was accepted into the prestigious Parsons program for fashion design in New York City. His eponymous label was founded in 2008.
