Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) – National Breast Cancer Awareness Month has come a long way from just sporting a pink ribbon, its universal symbol. Instead fashion retailers like Chico’s and Target, among others, have designed some real accessories which allows shoppers to be both charitable and chic.
Chico’s has designed a new, limited edition Bauble Bracelet, a mix of faul pearls and pale pink beads. The bracelet, which will be available in Chico’s stores and online in October, will retail only $20. $10 from the sale of each bracelet will be donated to Living Beyond Breast Cancer, a non-profit organization.
Target is also getting in on the cause, with Breast Cancer Awareness charm bracelets for sale. The sterling silver charm bracelets feature a 3-tone design with freshwater pearls and pink Swarovski crystals. Retailing for $25, portions of each sale will benefit breast cancer research.
Even breast cancer survivor Christina Applegate is adding designer to her resume, by joining forces with Alex Woo to create a new pendant necklace. Available in silver for $198 or gold for $998 at the Alex Woo website, the tree within a circle design pendant will raise money for Applegate’s Right Action for Women foundation.
