Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) – Beyonce is adding temporary tattoos to her fashion house’s sportswear collection. The songstress and her mother Tina Knowles are collaborating with airbrush makeup company Temptu to create a limited edition of temporary tattoos under their own Dereon label.
Tina told WWD that they want to give their fall 2010 campaign a “tough edginess” so they decided to invite the makeup firm to help them create custom body art for the singer to model with their clothes.
Designs for the waterproof skin art will include Dereon’s signature fleur icon, rocker bolts and chains, jewel baubles, and spider designs.
The tattoos will be available in both deluxe ($34) and basic ($16) packages on November 1.
According to the fashion website, a basic kit contains 8 temporary tattoo transfer sheets with two each of the four designs, 10 temporary application pads and 1 of three kit designs, each featuring a different image of Beyonce shot for the fall/winter ad campaign.
For the deluxe set, it will have everything that was included in the basic kit plus a signed photo of the singer and a chance to win a trip to New York for a photo shoot. It will be limited to 500 pieces, and will be available only on temptu.com and dereon.com.
