Monochromatic colors ruled the roost to great effect at Georgia Hardinge’s Spring 2011 presentation. This lack of color did not detract from the presentation. It may have enhanced it when looking at each piece individually. Hardinge used gray, white, black and yellow as primary colors for the show. There were shades within those colors represented, but for the most part, the collection consisted of that placed on floral ruffled dresses, yellow flowing strapless dress, strapless black dress reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe.
Georgia Hardinge’s Spring 2011 collection is not a by the numbers affair. The collection shows a designer effort to push boundaries, it succeeds in some places and fall short in others. Overall it’s a treat to see and moreso, wear.
