There’s no doubt in my mind that the Venexiana collection has it’s ardent supporters. Each season we see a collection from Kati Stern that speaks to this audience. This audience is not the Hollywood starlet stumbling out of a club at 3am. Kati Stern’s audience loves big voluminous gowns. The woman wearing Venexiana appreciates a gold lame’ dress with intricate detailing and a muted bow waistband. The Venexiana woman may find herself in a single shoulder orange dress with chiffon accents. She may see herself wearing a long flowy strapless floral print strap dress. It’s a collection like this that gets Kati Stern’s audience riled and excited. While not all of it is done to perfection (one questions the excess nature of pockets on a snake-like print strapless dress – or the placement for that matter), it’s close enough for the Venexiana customer. Kati Stern knows her audience and is playful enough to illicit the right emotion out of each piece. There’s no doubt this collection will be successful as prior seasons and there’s nothing wrong with that at all.
