New York, NY, United States (AHN) – Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have postponed their New York Fashion Week show for their line The Row because of a delay in sample deliveries. The show, which was originally scheduled to take place in New York tomorrow, will now be shown during Paris Fashion Week.
Women’s Wear Daily reported the Olsen twins had to postpone their show, originally slated for New York Fashion week, due to sample deliveries getting to them late. “We have made the decision to postpone our spring/summer 2011 presentation of The Row due to sample delivery,” Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen said in a statement. “Production and delivery of our samples is delayed by a few days and this has cast us out of the New York schedule. We will therefore present it to the market within the Paris schedule. We are excited and are looking forward to presenting our collection.”
WWD also says they have yet to finalize the exact date or venue for their Paris showcase. The Row first debuted on the runway during New York Fashion Week in February, where designers showcased their fall/winter collections. Turtlenecks with sheer sleeves, belted poncho-type coats, silky pants and fitted, boxy dresses were just a few of the items The Row showed viewers at the show in February.
