New York City, NY, United States (AHN) – Blake Lively and Savannah and Sienna Miller all have something in common: their keen fashion sense.
Though Lively is mostly seen in costumes on the set of “Gossip Girl,” it’s clear she likes to look high-fashion and different, even though she’s a young starlet (she recently turned 23). Her mother may have influenced that, because she tailored adult clothes to fit her future actress daughter.
“She just did that because she was so creative and because she didn’t want me to be dressed in big T-shirts cinched with a plastic clip like all the rest of the kids,” Lively has said. And due to her “different” wardrobe, she endured cruelty from other kids. “It was the only school where people were just downright mean to me […] They would make fun of my clothes because I dressed differently than the other kids.”
But now that’s all behind her, and Lively is busy setting trends yet again on “Gossip Girl,” and this time, no one is making fun of her.
Blake Lively was recently spotted on the “Gossip Girl” set wearing a Twenty8Twelve Vaccaro dress from the Autumn/Winter 2010 collection, which is available for pre-order now at Nordstrom.com. Twenty8Twelve is the Miller sisters’ clothing label, and the Vaccaro dress retails at $420.
Savannah and Sienna Miller started their clothing label when, after Savannah finished her fashion studies at Central St. Martins College of Art and Design in London. The two moved in together, and Savannah honed her craft by fitting her clothing on Sienna. When the two were approached by Carlos Ortega, a Spanish entrepreneur, he invested in their label and Twenty8Twelve began.
Since then, dozens of retailers and wardrobe stylists love Twenty8Twelve’s short, flowy dresses, long tunics and fitted, graphic tees. Besides being snapped up by consumers, the line has appeared on “How I Met Your Mother,” and now, “Gossip Girl.”
