London, England, United Kingdom (AHN) – Fashion’s Night Out, an event put on by Vogue Magazine before New York Fashion Week starts, will take place on Wednesday September 8 from 6 to 11 pm. There will be several fun events for the fashion lover in London.
Following the success of last year’s event, Vogue is partnering with even more designers, department stores and high street chains to create a shopping night to remember – promising everything from exclusive discounts to special guests and prize draws. If you’ll be in London, stop by one of the following events to see what you can get for free while checking out great new fashion looks.
Model Daisy Lowe will be at House of Fraser to relaunch iconic Sixties brand Biba. The store will also be giving guests free massages and music by Lou Hayter from the New Young Pony Club.
Moschino is offering shoppers the chance to be photographed for its interactive window displays at the Conduit Street store. The label has also launched a limited edition notebook especially for this event.
Stella McCartney confirmed that her good friend Gwyneth Paltrow will host her Bruton Street store event. Christian Louboutin will host a mad tea party with music by the London Guns., and guests will be treated to lipstick consultations with Nars, while they sip complimentary champagne.
Diane Von Furstenburg will decorate her Mayfair store with a Studio 54-theme. Professional hair and make-up stations, cocktails created specially by Claridge’s and a photographer perusing the room will make any visitor feel famous.
Yasmin Le Bon and Manolo Blahnik will open the doors to Liberty’s World of Manolo pop-up store. Richard Nicoll will also make an appearance while showing his fall/winter 2010 collection.
Rupert Sanderson will transform his Bruton Street store into a dancehall extravaganza with dance lessons from Bugsy Malone’schoreographer Donald Waugh. Guests will be taught all from the Rumba to the Cha Cha Cha.
Louis Vuitton has recruited Alice Dellal to play a two-hour DJ set at its flagship store. Customers will also be invited to have their pictures taken in specially-installed booths which will print photos of shoppers as Vogue cover stars.
The SHOWStudio Shop is joining the proceedings on Fashion’s Night Out. Launching a new exhibition, In Wolves Clothing: Re-imagining the Doll, it joins the global celebration of fashion and shopping which takes place in London on September 8.
Even the Gap has something for Fashion’s Night Out: customers will be served canapes and cocktails with a performance by Grammy-nominated blues singer Janelle Monae. Try out the full length in-store photo booth – which will capture and instantly print images of shoppers trying on Gap denim.
