London, England, United Kingdom (AHN) – Victoria Beckham has segued into movies. But not as an actress, as a director – sort of. Beckham has compiled all the never-before-seen runway footage from her fall/winter 2010 collection shows and has created a short film called “Dresses.”
The film can be viewed exclusively at Vogue.com.
“Film has been a focal point for me in the development of my brand,” Beckham told Vogue.com. “It is a perfect way to interact with my customers. My latest film in conjunction with my autumn/winter 2010 collections, shows both catwalk and backstage footage. This film is part of a program of brand virals that give a unique and intimate perspective on each collection and category.”
Beckham is showing she’s serious by finally signing up for a Twitter account to further promote her brand, fashion news and her collections’ fashion shows and events via social media.
“So excited to watch the #FNO:The Show webcast! Andre Leon Talley is hosting,” she recently tweeted from her new name, @vbfashionweek. FNO stands for Fashion’s Night Out, an event put on at New York Fashion Week by Vogue Magazine, Mayor Bloomberg, NYC and Company and the Council of Fashion Designers America (CFDA). Fashion’s Night Out will take place on Friday, September 10.
Beckham is nominated for the British Fashion Award’s Designer of the Year accolade this year, as well.
