New York, NY, United States (AHN) – Conde Nast has said no to Vogue Africa. The magazine giant has turned down Cameroonian photographer Mario Epanya’s campaign to make the project a reality in Africa.
Epanya created fictional covers featuring gorgeous models’ images for his Vogue Africa project to present to the company. But his efforts apparently weren’t enough. Conde Nast rejected the idea, shelving the project forever.
The magazine would have paid homage to African women.
He wrote on his Facebook page, “DEAR ALL, this is the last cover of VOGUE AFRICA, Conde Nast say no for an license. Thank you all for your support, it’s A beginning of something … [sic]”
