New York, NY, United States (AHN) – Luxury retail shop Saks Fifth Avenue is paving the way for plus-sized lines in an industry where size 0 is the norm. The luxury specialty store will be adding plus-sized designer collections on their legendary third floor.
The retail store will be stocking large-sized clothes from high-end labels, including Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Yves Saint Laurent, and Roberto Cavalli.
According to Racked, depending on the brand, sizes will go from 12 to 20, which are usually next to impossible to find in the aforementioned brands. No exact date for the launch has been mentioned.
Other designer brands on board with the project include Armani, Carolina Herrera, Donna Karan, Escada, Fendi, Max Mara, Michael Kors, Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, and Arkis.
As for now, the store in New York will be the only branch that will carry the plus-sized lines. If all goes well, Saks may also roll out this practice to its other U.S. branches.
