Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) – Lola, the seemingly mature daughter of pop queen Madonna, is collaborating with her mom on a new line of clothes for Macy’s. In a new blog to promote the new collection, titled Material Girl, the 13-year-old proves she is, well, just 13, talking boys, making poop jokes, and using phrases like “4 realz.”
In the blog, which is featured on the Material Girl collection website, Lola goes on to rejoice about turning 14 (she’s finally old enough to dye her hair under Madonna’s rules), describes her favorite color as black and least favorite as brown (“because it resembles the color of something QUITE gross,” she says), and describes My Chemical Romance as “THE BEST BAND EVER for realzzzz.”
But she also manages to get a few quips about the new Material Girl line, which features everything from jackets, corset tops and denim to footwear and accessories, when she starts to talk about her current 80’s obsession.
“I am totally obsessivo about 80’s shorts… You know the kind that makes your butt look kinda big, with a grunge-looking shirt tucked in,” Lola writes on the blog. “It’s kinda nerdy but I love it. And the 80’s are another huge obsession of mine, which is totally amazingly awesome because Material Girl…HELLO! It’s like 80’s themed, which pretty much rocks, so yeah.”
One thing is clear: Lola’s blog is all Lola. There’s no Macy’s-sponsored PR machine behind this one. The 80’s-inspired Material Girl line is set to Macy’s stores in August, just in time for back-to-school shopping.
