Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) – Keri Hilson recently hit #1 in international territories with her latest single “I Like,” and now she’s the #1 choice for the new face of international beauty brand Avon. She’s been named the face of the brand’s Imari fragrance, replacing singer/actress Jennifer Hudson.
Hudson had been with the brand since 2007 before moving on as the new face of Weight Watchers. But the brand is excited to join forces with Hilson, a current force in R&B and one of the freshest faces in music.
“We had a great partnership with Jennifer Hudson, and we found that so powerful that, in the same spirit, we wanted to take it a step further,” said Lily DeStefano, executive director of Avon North America Beauty to WWD. “Keri just brings a youth and vitality to our brand. I think that she’s just the perfect transition.”
“I’m really careful. I don’t want to be affiliated with too many brands. It’s got to make sense, and it makes sense,” Hilson said about joining Avon. “I love fragrance. I love beauty. I love to teach women that they should feel confident and feel good about themselves for themselves.”
Hilson joins other current Avon ambassadors like Reese Witherspoon, Zoe Saldana, and Patrick Dempsey. Hilson is also working with producers like Timbaland and Polow Da Don on her new album, the follow-up to 2008’s “In a Perfect World…”
