Holmdel, NJ, United States (AHN) – The bodies of two murder-suicide victims were found inside a burned home in Holmdel, the Monmouth County prosecutor’s office said on Friday.
The remains belonged to former Danish model Carina Schlesinger, 36, and her boyfriend, Daniel Cresci, 29. According to County Prosecutor Peter Warshaw Jr., Schlesinger shot dead Cresci, set her house on fire and then shot herself on Wednesday.
Schlesinger fought off a rapist who attacked her in Central Park in 2004. The rapist was convicted and sentenced to 125 years in prison.
Schlesinger also ran a dog training facility.
