New York, NY, United States (CNS) – SAG Best Actress Sandra Bullock is partnering with leather goods brand Coach to benefit a charity for terminally ill individuals. For every sale of “The Blind Side” star’s favorite Coach bags, a portion of the profit will benefit Beauty Bus Foundation.
Coach will be donating a percentage of the profits from the sale of either the Madison Hippie or the Kristin Tote to the non-profit organization, which is “dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for homebound terminally and chronically ill individuals and their primary caregivers.”
The foundation provides in-home beauty and grooming treatments for free to empower the patients and help them maintain dignity and give them respite during a difficult time.
According to co-founder and president Alicia Liotta, they learned of Bullock and Coach’s project from a third party.
She told People, “We learned of Sandra and Coach’s partnership to benefit Beauty Bus from Fortis Films. In fact, the project was put together by Coach and Sandra. It was an incredible surprise and is a gift to the Beauty Bus Foundation.”
Helping those who need it seems to be natural for Bullock. She recently donated $1 million to the relief efforts in Haiti, and had also donated $1 million each to the Liberty Disaster Relief Fund and to the 2004 Asian tsunami.
