Madonna Eats Carbs, Washes Dishes In New D&G Ad Campaign
New York, NY (CNS) – Madonna eats -gasp- spaghetti! The lean and fit music superstar, who is a strong yoga advocate, poses for Dolce and Gabbana’s new advertising campaign, in which she is featured doing mundane tasks, including washing the dishes and eating pasta.
The series of shots were taken by celebrity photographer Steven Klein last month in New York for the Italian luxury fashion brand’s spring/summer 2010 collection.
The black-and-white ads, inspired by Italian Neorealism cinema, feature Madonna in a seemingly unaware fashion while peeling fruits, eating spaghetti sans fork, and washing dishes.
The images will grace the Italian edition of Vanity Fair magazine this week.
Last month, designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana announced that Madonna would be the new face of their campaign.
They said in a statement, “To have Madonna in our campaign is a dream come true.”
