London, England (CNS) – Dresses from Victoria Beckham’s collection have been stolen as they were en route to high-end department store Neiman Marcus in New York. Up to 75 dresses from the former Spice Girls member’s spring/summer 2010 collection were taken from a delivery van in London.
According to U.K.’s Daily Mail, the dresses, worth up to 350,000 pounds or around $570,500, were taken at knife point from the van’s driver. The vehicle came from Beckham’s management office and was headed to Heathrow Airport in London on Thursday.
It is believed the van was followed by the thieves when the driver was making a delivery. The van’s padlocks were broken and two men burst out of the back of the vehicle, carrying two large boxes of dresses. The driver was left shaken and bruised after he was knocked down.
Police are currently investigating the incident.
Beckham’s spokeswoman said it is hoped the collection could be remade in time for delivery to Neiman Marcus in New York.
