Los Angeles, CA (CNS) – Designer Christian Louboutin is used to having his name dropped by the celebrities who love to walk in his ultra-sought-after shoes, but never like Jennifer Lopez, who says the designer’s name 45 times in her new single, “Louboutins.” Now the fashion designer is hard at work at creating the kicks Lopez will don for the music video for her new single.
Lopez is set to film the video for “Louboutins” next month. She premiered the track at the American Music Awards, where a quickly rebounded slip got slightly more attention than her catchy new single. But not by the French designer, who told Fashion Weekly Daily that he’s extremely flattered by the track.
“Jennifer told me about the song back in January, and I was extremely flattered,” Louboutin told FWD. “But of course, in America, the public pronounces my name in like a million different ways. So Jennifer called me and she was like, ‘Listen, I want to make sure that I get it right.’ And she did from the very first time.”
Lopez is set to perform the track again on the “Ellen” show, where she masters the jump that made headlines. Meanwhile the designer’s already infamous moniker will shoehorn itself into listener’s ears when Lopez’s “Love?” album hits stores next year.
Meanwhile, Louboutin just opened a boutique in Miami’s Design District. Complete with art exhibits and tropical landscapes outside, the exclusive retailer launches its first stand-alone store in the region.
