Los Angeles, CA (CNS) – John Lennon continuously inspires popular music, but his style is inspiring clothes-makers as well. Rock & Roll Religion and English Laundry designer Christopher Wicks looked to the Beatles frontman for his latest menswear collection, Designs Inspired by the Art of John Lennon by English Laundry.
The collection, which retails at price points from $30 to $170, features t-shirts, woven shirts and even blazers which feature Lennon lyrics and artwork. Many of the looks also include Lennon’s well-known “Give Peace a Chance” mantra. The 60’s-inspired looks are what designer Wicks calls “what John wore, incorporated with his art.”
“A day without music is a day without inspiration,” Wicks said about the collection. “My obsession with music and fashion goes hand in hand, and a clothing line exemplifying the aura and artwork of the brilliant John Lennon is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. Both as a life-long fan and a designer, I have great respect for his music, art, style and his message.”
The collection will hit English Laundry stores in December. A Beverly Hills location on Beverly Drive opens November 13th, in addition to its Los Angeles, New York, and Shanghai locations.
