Last year Korean born Eun Jeong earned the prestigious fashion fringe award, and had her own window in Selfridges flag ship store before she’d made her own independent collection. Her resume is quite impressive, but the overall look of this collection was not.
Don’t get me wrong, there is some fantastic detail on the mostly all white looks (a very light metallicized blue makes an appearance as well). She adds texture with lace, beading and organza appliques, and there is one very interesting design element; what look to be wings formed not into the back of her dresses, but in the front on the chest. Despite these efforts the collection as a whole falls flat, and can’t escape a Billy Idol, “White Wedding” revival feel.
