I had the opportunity to speak with model, socialite, editor, and author Ms. Kelly Kiloren Bensimon this afternoon about her upcoming jewelry line, which will be available at Kitson and Intermix.
Ms. Bensimon was at the event (in the 24th floor pent house of the Bryant Park Hotel) to get some one-on-one time with editors about her inspiration for the line.
Her baubles are faux because she wants women to be able to play with jewelry and feels in these trying times that accessories are a great way to be expressive with fashion without breaking the bank.
Bensimon’s idea for her line is an original one indeed. She replaced the traditional materials of leather, beads, and turqoise in Native American jewelry with all that glitters, while retaining their classic patterns. The result is a modern, luxe twist on a historically significant theme. Well done.
