New Orleans, LA (CNS) – The Al Copeland Foundation and Saks Fifth Avenue New Orleans are teaming up to host the “Hi-Speed” Fashion Show. The night will feature glamour, fashion and fun to help raise money for a good cause.
The night will raise money for the Al Copeland Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to researching a cure to eradicate Merkel Cell Carcinoma, a deadly cancer that claimed the life of Al Copeland Sr.
The event will feature a red carpet entrance with a fashion runway show, along with a selection of decadent foods and drinks from Copeland’s Restaurants and a silent auction.
The fashion show will include digs from top designers such as Chanel, Burberry, Prada, Diane Von Furstenberg, Rock & Republic and several others.
“The purpose of the ‘Hi-Speed’ Fashion Show is to raise awareness and funds to cure this deadly disease,” said Charli Copeland Womac, co-president of the Al Copeland Foundation. “In memory of my father, Al Copeland, we will be donating 100% of the proceeds raised from this event to Merkel Cell Carcinoma research.”
The event will take place on Saturday, September 12 at Generations Hall. The patron party is from 6:00-8:00 pm and the main event begins at 8:00 pm. Tickets cost anywhere from $25 to $175 and can be purchased online at www.alcopelandfoundation.org.
“Every ticket purchased will help make a difference in research for Merkel Cell Carcinoma,” added Alisha Copeland, co-president of the Al Copeland Foundation. “Since our father’s untimely passing, my sister Charli and I have dedicated our time and efforts to raise funds for research that will lead to a cure for Merkel Cell Carcinoma.”
