Gap's (PRODUCT) Red Artist Edition T-Shirts And Gallery Features 12 Artists

New York, NY (CNS) – Gap has some new tees hitting the market that will feature 12 various artists, with part of the proceeds going to help fight AIDS in Africa. The artists will also be featured at Gap’s Artist T-shirt Gallery in New York.
The new (PRODUCT) Red Artist edition shirts feature artists ranging from the established to the up-and-coming. The artists include James Jean, Geoff McFetridge, Kjell Ekhorn and Jon Forss, Deanne Cheuk, Keiko Itakura, Kari Moden, nomoco, James Joyce, Stephen Kelleher, Stina Persson, David Hollier and Celia Calle.
The company is also partnering with Global Fund to give 50 percent of the profits for the sale of the shirts to help eliminate AIDS in Africa.
“We take pride in working with (RED) and providing opportunities for our customers to participate in the fight against AIDS in Africa,” said Ivy Ross, executive vice president, Gap Marketing, in press release.
“With our heritage in redefining classics, we love how this collaboration with original artists to rework our iconic t-shirt provides consumers with unique, meaningful pieces that serve a very important purpose.”
People will also have the chance to check out some of the artists original work at Gap’s Artist T-shirt Gallery located on 5th Avenue in New York. On Saturday, July 25 to Monday, August 10, the gallery will open to feature paintings, sculptures and sketches from the artists, along with the exclusive men’s and women’s t-shirts.
