Welwyn Garden City, England (CNS) – Online retailer Fitness Footwear wants women to shape up for summer and they have a shoe that can help. The company is promoting their wide range of Sketcher’s “Shape Ups” to help women slim down just in time for an active summer season.
The new shoe combines comfortable, stylist trainers with all of the health benefits of barefoot walking. It features a rolling bottom, soft foam insole and a dual density midsole that imitates the effect of walking on soft sand.
Sketcher’s also claims that the shoe can give women a more efficient workout. As you walk in the shoe, the heel sinks into the soft foam insole, preventing the foot from rolling onto the forefoot or off the toes. This utilizes more muscles in the legs, buttocks and back and uses the core muscles to stabilize steps.
The company even conducted trials with 10 volunteers who wore “Shape Ups” for 6 weeks. The results showed improvement in posture, weight loss, body composition, muscle strength and improved lower back endurance.
Fitness Footwear Company director, Emma Barlow said in a press release, “The great thing about Shape Ups is that they look good, feel very comfortable and you can get all the benefits of wearing them simply by walking to work every day.”
