Former Model Karen Mulder Arrested For Allegedly Threatening Surgeon
Paris, France (CNS) – Former supermodel Karen Mulder has been arrested for allegedly threatening her plastic surgeon. The 39-year-old ’90s catwalk beauty reportedly made “vicious telephone calls” to her medic.
Mulder apparently wanted a previous surgery reversed. However the doctor refused, which made the troubled ex-model angry.
A Police source said she made “repeated violent telephone threats” to the unnamed woman surgeon over the past weeks.
The insider to dailyrecord.co.uk, “Miss Mulder was accompanied to a police station in Paris after a complaint was made against her.”
“She in being interviewed by detectives and is expected to be released on bail.”
“Her phone records are being checked. It is not yet known if any charges will be brought.”
Mulder rose to fame alongside other catwalk big names Naomi Campbell, Helena Christensen and Kate Moss. She was called “The Blonde with Class” by Vogue magazine editors in the ’90s, but she quit modeling in 2000, saying she had always hated being photographed.
She alleged that she and other girls were used as sex slaves by senior police figures and the French government, including Prince Albert of Monaco. She later recanted the tale.
She also went into a coma after overdosing on sleeping pills in an apparent suicide attempt in 2002. She awoke from the coma the next day.
