New York, NY (CNS) – Stylist Patricia Field of “Sex and the City” stardom is speaking up about the newest sequel, saying the fashions and characters of the movie won’t be hit by the economic recession.
Fields spoke to MSN, stating that she wouldn’t be changing the character’s stylist attire to reflect the current state of the economy. This is coming after claims from actress Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays Carrie Bradshaw, recently stating that it would be “inappropriate to showcase the designer clothes the franchise became famous for.”
Fields says, “I wouldn’t do it. Of course the four girls are going to be fabulous and flamboyant – otherwise what is the point? I want to do it the other way. I’d be like: ‘Forget your troubles.’ I don’t use the recession as a reference for my creativity.”
It looks like Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda will all still be stylish, fun and fabulous for the second movie scheduled to hit theaters in May of 2010.
