New York, NY (CNS) – Designer Albertus Swanepoel debuted his collection of five hats for classic Gap Khaki. Gap stores across the U.S. have the collection on display, along with Gap’s website.
The hats offer a sassy contemporary twist on the traditional safari hat and are priced at $39.50. Gap commissioned Swanepoel for the collection as part of the designer’s prize for being a runner-up at the 2008 Vogue/Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Fashion Fund Awards.
Along with Swanepoel’s line, fellow CFDA nominees Vena Cava and Alexander Wang also debuted a collection for Gap that features khaki pants, a dress and shorts.
