Hollywood, CA (CNS) – Billabong’s 3rd Annual Design for Humanity fashion, music, and art one-night event will be happening tonight in Hollywood at the Avalon/Bardot. The annual event began as a way for Billabong to give back to a non-profit close to its heart, but now offers a chance for retailers, athletes, celebrities, artists and the general public to give back as well.
The evening will begin with an art show and auction in the Bardot club, followed by a bikini fashion show, moving to a performance by the two bands Iglu & Hartley and The Airborne Toxic Event and ending the night with tunes from a DJ.
This year Design for Humanity will benefit charity:water, a nonprofit organization that helps provide clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. Tickets cost $40 the day of the show and 100% of ticket sales will be donated to the charity.
All of the art from the Design for Humanity art show will be available in a silent auction with the proceeds going to charity:water. Work from artists such as Alex Weinstein, Wolfgang Bloch, Barry McGee, David Carson, Steven Harrington, Danielle Petach, Sophia St-Onge and many others will be featured.
