Los Angeles, CA (CNS) – Sunglasses designer brand Oakley will be releasing a new eco-friendly design in July.
The company will also be donating a portion of the proceeds to the Action Sports Environmental Coalition, a green-friendly nonprofit group that helped to design the glasses.
The company boasts that the new glasses will utilize excess materials from the manufacture of other eyewear for the frame and sustainable, natural, biodegradable, 100% certified organic bamboo for the storage bag that comes with the pair. The icons used as accents for the frame are also made of bamboo and the packaging uses recycled materials and eco-friendly inks.
The glasses will be available on Oakley.com in July. The new shades are sure to set a trend in the eyewear industry.
