Kardashian Sisters Host Best Friend Caroline D'Amore's Fashion Show
Miami, FL (CNS) – Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian hosted a fashion show and cocktail party, this Wednesday, June 10, at The Setai Hotel, in South Beach, spotlighting swimwear designed by one of their best friends, Caroline D’Amore. Kourtney, 30, and Khloe, 24, recently opened a Miami Beach branch of their family-owned boutique, DASH, which currently carries only a few of D’Amore’s designs. The pair, minus middle sister, Kim, also moved to Miami Beach from Los Angeles and began taping for their show “Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami,” a spin-off of their successful, family show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
D’Amore, 24, is known for being a DJ and an aspiring actress. She has been known to party with the Kardashians, as well as Paris Hilton. Her swimwear line, D’Amore by Marceau, is the product of a collaboration with head designer, Laurent Planeix.
Hundreds of Miami socialites watched the show, held in the outdoor courtyard lounge. Although the show started about an hour late, the level of excitement was still high. The Kardashian sisters introduced the line and their friend and then watched the show from a VIP area. D’Amore, along with four DASH dolls and a few other models, walked the runway, over the courtyard’s spa-like pool.
The suits, aimed to accentuate the female body with stylish colors and designs, received much acceptance from the crowd. Onlookers seemed to be quite pleased with the show and the swimsuits. After the show, one of the models, Kay McKenzie, who has worked with the Kardashians and D’Amore before, thought, “the show was awesome.” Similarly, Kourtney Kardashian added, “the show was so amazing and it was so fun to be a part of such a great show. You can tell Caroline worked really, really hard on the designs and it’s really fun to work with one of our best friends.”
D’Amore by Marceau is available through the boutique’s online store and also at the new DASH boutique in Miami Beach. Kourtney promised that, “we obviously don’t have the new stuff yet but we’re definitely going to be ordering it.”
Most guests were required to sign a waiver to be featured on the season premiere of “Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami.” According to the shows head producer, the duo’s show will debut, on E!, in August.
