London, England (CNS) – Designer Ben de Lisi is closing his eponymous womenswear line in June, along with his flagship London store, it has been announced. The London-based American Fashion designer will now focus on his interior design business.
Despite closing down his main line, he will continue to produce his best-selling BDL by Ben de Lisi collection for Debenhams. The designer will also work on painting and sculpting for a one-man art show, which he hopes to debut in the West End in the autumn.
Ben told Vogue: “This is a very exciting time for me, as I have decided that I would like to take life a bit easier and concentrate on the very many other aspects of the Ben de Lisi brand.”
“Ben de Lisi is not only about red carpet dresses – it is much, much more. I am so excited to be in this enviable position to do what I love and to make the changes to suit where my life is right now,” he added.
In addition, he acts as a mentor to budding Fashion designers in the British TV Series “Project Catwalk.”
