Dubai And Pakistan Among Emerging Designers At Miami Fashion Week

Anthony Jones – Celebrity News Service Contributor

Miami, FL (CNS) – Dubai has had their finger on the pulse of all things luxury, including positioning themselves as a world-class tourist destination. With two showcases featuring designers of the United Arab Emirates having took place at Miami Fashion Week, designers like Michael Cinco and Furne One are showing what Dubai is all about and it looks like they take both day and night very seriously.

Michael Cinco’s collection showed that Dubai is all about sun, including daringly cut swim trunks for men and bikinis with some extra accessorizing for women. But Cinco also featured grandiose, bejeweled gowns, like a show-stopping white and silver number.

Miami Fashion Week also featured designs from other countries on its third day, including Malaysia, Lebanon, and Pakistan. Munib Nawaz of Pakistan showed a men’s collection that was inspired by traditional men’s garb but with a twist that made some pieces look like they could work in America too. Hadi Katra of Lebanon showed that her collection is all about eye-popping colors and flowing, mix-matching patterns.

By the end of Miami Fashion Week, designers from 24 countries will have shown at the fashion event. Miami Fashion Week continues with a jewelry fashion show from Spain and the obligatory closing night wrap parties.
